A RETIRED member of the Police Security and Protection Group and his wife were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency while conspiring to sell drugs in Mabalacat, Pampanga, PDEA chair Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac Jr. said yesterday.

Retired SPO1 Abubakar Gulam, 59, his wife Dina, 35, and a cohort identified as Vilma Isani, 64, are now facing non-bailable charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The suspects who are classified as “high-value” drug targets are residents of  Maharlia Village, Taguig City. They were arrested 5:30 p.m. last Wednesday.

Regional Office-3 headed by Director Jeoffrey Tacio said the suspects were arrested  while conspiring to sell two plastic sachets containing around 50 grams of shabu worth P250,000 to an undercover officer inside the Dau bus terminal in Bgy. Dau, Mabalacat, Pampanga.
