MANILA – An allegedly abusive retired policeman was shot dead by his own son in Dipaculao, Aurora province Thursday evening.
The victim, 48-year-old Tito Cuiben, was allegedly shot dead by his 19-year-old son, Jerwin at around 10 p.m.
According to investigators, Jerwin admitted to shooting his father. The suspect said he only did it because his father was always hurting his mother.
Tito sustained a gunshot wound to the neck which caused his immediate death.
Jerwin surrendered to the police after the incident. He is facing parricide charges. – report from Chris Pascual, ABS-CBN News
