A TABLOID reporter was hurt after she tried to fight off three men who robbed her in Quezon City over the weekend.
Rizza Joy Laurea, 29, of People’s Balita, was treated at the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center for bruises and cuts on her face.
Laurea told police that she was on her way home when the three suspects blocked her path along Visayas Avenue in Project 6 at 2 a.m. on Sunday.
The suspects asked for her cellular phone. When she refused, one of them punched her in the face.
She fell and tried to fight back, prompting the two other suspects to hit her.
The suspects fled after taking her cellphone.
Witnesses asked the help of barangay security officers who brought Laurea to the barangay hall.
The watchmen identified one of the suspects as Marvin Rapada.
