MANILA, Philippines – A Quezon City policeman was shot dead by unidentified gunmen this morning while on board his owner type jeep.

Quoting a Quezon City Police District official, a radio report said the victim, only identified as Senior Police Officer 4 Sorio was gunned down along Commonwealth Avenue, New Kalayaan Bliss, Brgy. Batasan, around 8:30 a.m.

The victim was a member of the QCPD-Task Force Commonwealth, the report said.

Police investigators are still looking into the motive of the killing, the report added.
