A bus conductor took his two-week-old half-sibling hostage after his father refused to give him money Saturday night in Cavite province.
Radio dzBB reported early Sunday that Boy Napi, 24, is facing charges of frustrated murder and child abuse.
The incident occurred at the house of Rogelio Mancao, Napi’s father, along Manggahan Street in Bacoor town. Napi is Mancao’s son by his first wife.
Initial investigation showed Napi, who was drunk at the time, went to his father’s house to ask for money. But his father refused, saying Napi already had a job as a bus conductor.
Angered, Napi stormed into his father’s room and then took his two-week-old half-sibling hostage, threatening to kill it with a knife.
Napi eventually surrendered to authorities, who noted the child was grazed in the head.
Mancao said he is pursuing charges against his own son to teach him a lesson. — LBG, GMANews.TV
