CAMP SIMEON OLA, Legazpi City — Suspected rebels executed two farmers in separate incidents in Bicol, the PNP Regional Office-5 reported Saturday.
A local resident in Murial, Masbate told police victim Nelson Bartulay, 38, was dragged from his house by unidentified armed men and shot him to death.
The terrified family of Bartulay witnessed how the victim was killed by the rebels, who left a letter to the family saying: “Bartulay was sentenced to death for raping several women in the locality.”
Meanwhile, in remote Barangay Pood, Guinobatan, Albay a coconut farmer identified as Crispin Ollano Odina was abducted by three suspected rebels armed with long firearms Friday morning.
Odina was brought some distance from the coconut plantation and was later found dead with gun shot wounds in the body.
