CANDELARIA, Quezon – A driver of a Sangguniang Panlalawigan member of Quezon was found dead Saturday night hours after he was abducted by two unidentified armed men in Barangay Masalukot 1 here.

Marlon Manalo, 36, of Schoolview Subd., driver of SP member Macario Boongaling, was on his way home in the official’s Toyota Altis at 10:20 p.m. when flagged down by the suspects.

SPO2 Menardo del Mundo and PO2 German de Villa said the suspects boarded the car and forced Manalo to speed away.

Minutes later, patrolling policemen found the car in Barangay Muzon, San Juan, Batangas with bloodstains on the driver’s seat.

The following day, the victim’s body was found by residents in Barangay Del Rosario,  Tiaong town. 

Initial investigation shows that an illicit love affair may have triggered the killing since the victim was “a known womanizer.”
