MANILA, Philippines — Two members of a private armed group were arrested by police authorities in Masbate.

The suspects, identified as Ramie and Ariel Arizobal, were arrested in Barangay Alino in Dimasalang.

Unlicensed firearms were seized from the two men.

Police said they will be charged with illegal possession of firearms and explosives.

Authorities, however, have not identified which politician has connections with the suspects.
