ZAMBOANGA CITY – An election officer in Basilan was shot dead here Saturday evening, police said.

The victim was identified as Entong Musa of Tuburan town.

Investigation showed that Musa was at Calle Posporo in Barangay (village) San Rafael here when attacked at about 6:40 p.m., police said.

The victim sustained three gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on arrival at Bascom hospital.
