MANILA, Philippines – A police officer was shot by an unidentified gunman along Stanford street at Barangay E. Rodriguez Sr. in Quezon City on Sunday afternoon.
The victim was identified as SPO2 Joel Rafael, assigned at the Office of the Director in Camp Caringal.
According to the victim’s uncle, Lito Buenviaje, Rafael paid him a visit when an unidentified man suddenly fired three shots. Rafael sustained at least one gun shot to the head.
He was immediately brought to the nearest hospital for treatment.
