MANILA, Philippines — A responding police officer was stabbed after trying to come between men who were arguing over the vehicular accident they were involved in in Bulan, Sorsogon, reports
reaching Camp Crame showed Tuesday.

Police Officer 1 Romeo Bilbao arrived at the scene along De Castro St, Zone 8 involving Noel Gotiza and Rodolfo Maraño.

Bilbao was not able to mediate as he was stabbed after he identified himself to the Gotiza and Marano.

Police stated that Bilbao managed to shoot both suspects on their legs which prevented them from fleeing the scene.

Bilbao was rushed to Sorsogon Doctors’ Hospital while the suspects were being treated for gunshot wounds in Pawa District Hospital in Bulan, Sorsogon.
