Police in Bacolod City are now looking for leads in the killing of an unidentified male whose corpse was fished out of a creek on Sunday.
The body was seen floating at a creek at Vista Homes Subdivision, a report on Negros-based news site Visayan Daily Star said.
The corpse bore multiple circular wounds with the victim’s hand and feet tied with shoelaces, officer-on-case Police Officer 3 Karyl Mugemulta said.
The victim, who wore denim pants with green square designs, was described as between 17 to 20 years old, measuring five feet to five feet five inches tall with fair complexion, medium-build, and blond hair.
The victim may have been killed somewhere else and his body was just dumped into the creek, Mugemulta said.
The officer said residents did not hear any noise and police found no visible signs of struggle.
Police will perform an autopsy on the body to determine whether the wounds were from an icepick or from a shotgun. — RJAB Jr./RSJ, GMANews.TV
