Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte (Jan 16, 2012) – A shooting incident took place yesterday about 9:15 in the evening at Barangay Imelda, Labason Zamboanga Del Norte. 

The victim identified as a certain Agapito Carido Jr. 26 years old, single and a resident of the said barangay.

According to Captain John Pedregosa, Spokesperson of 101st Brigade, Philippine Army, the victim was playing gambling at the “peryahan” then suddenly two unidentified armed men appeared and shot the victim on his head using cal. 45 pistols resulting to his instantaneous death.

Carido perpetrators fled in an unknown direction. ZDN police and military authorities is conducting hot pursuit operation against the suspects. (Riza P. Lacbao)
