MANILA — A man who tried to pacify two men engaged in a brawl was stabbed dead in Malabon.

The victim, 20-year-old Francis Silab, was stabbed on the chest after he tried to stop suspect Jhun Jhun Mistoso from stabbing his friend, Jestoni Base.

Base sustained minor injuries from the stabbing incident.
Mistoso was arrested after the incident, but he claimed he only stabbed the victim out of self-defense.

The knife used in the crime was not recovered from the suspect. – report from Carolyn Bonquin, ABS-CBN News
