A DRUNK man hacked and wounded his son in barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City.

The father fled after the incident.

The family of the assailant refused to give information or tell investigators the father’s name, said PO3 Dioscro Arong of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office.

Police said the family had no plans of filing charges against the father.

Police said the man arrived drunk around 7 p.m. on Friday and without any provocation hacked his 25-year-old son Jeremiah with a scythe.

Jeremiah, who was wounded in the nape, was rushed to a hospital in Cebu City./REPORTER JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
