A father accidentally stabbed dead his own son who was trying to prevent him from attacking their neighbor in Mandaluyong City, Tuesday night.

Suspect Rudy Espenilla told police he could not surmise why his son, Bernard, died during the incident that occurred in front of their house.

The victim died on the spot from a stab wound in the abdomen. Police said the suspect accidentally stabbed his son when the latter tried to prevent his father from hitting their neighbor with a knife. The suspect was brought to the Mandaluyong City Police Station.
