PO3 Dante A. Reabad reported that a certain Kelvin Dimaano, 15, out-of-school youth, of Sitio Ferry, Bgy. Kumintang Ibaba, Batangas City was shot dead by unidentified suspects.
At around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, a security guard of Batangas Medical Center, identified only as Garcia, called up the city police and reported that a person wounded in a shooting incident has just been admitted.
Upon receipt of the report, elements of the Batangas City Police Station proceeded to Sitio Ferry, Bgy. Kumintang Ibaba, to verify the information.
Investigators said that at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, the victim was standing in front of a sari-sari store when he was shot several times by one of two unidentified suspects armed with cal. .45 pistol.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the body and was rushed to the BMC where he was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Raymond Joseph Romero, attending physician.
The suspects fled on a black Yamaha motorcycle (4586-WD).
A Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) team headed by Chief Insp. Anacleta Laysa Cultura recovered 10 spent shells and six slugs for cal. .45 pistol.
The body of the victim was brought to San Fernando Funeral Homes in Bgy. Kumintang Ibaba for autopsy.
Elements of the Batangas City Police Station are still conducting follow-up investigation/operation for the possible identification and arrest of the suspects.
Likewise, a dragnet operation was requested to nearby police station for possible interception of fleeing suspects.
