A 24-year-old Nigerian national was robbed by two men inside a passenger jeepney along EDSA before dawn Friday in Pasay City. Chibuzor Maduforo, temporary billeted at 20 Sesame St., Amado Tapuc, Dagupan, Pangasinan, lost his cellphone worth P5,000, wallet containing US$1,800 and his Alien Student Card to two armed robbers who posed as passengers. PO2 Catalino Gazmen Jr. of the Pasay Police Investigation Section said the jeepney was traveling along EDSA past 3 a.m. when the suspects, both armed with bladed weapons, declared a holdup before reaching Magallanes interchange. Police said two other passengers were also robbed by the suspects but failed to report the incident. The suspects hurriedly alighted from the jeepney and fled towards E. Rodriguez St., Bgy. Malibay. Elements of Police Community Precinct (PCP) 7 of Pasay police conducted a follow-up operation for the possible arrest of the suspects but yielded negative result.
