Manila, Philippines — The Navotas City Police is tracking down two suspects involved in the shooting of a pedicab driver Wednesday.

Police Senior Supt. Conrad Gongon, Jr., head of the Navotas City Police, said the victim is 28-year-old Aldrin Santos who is confined at the Tondo General Hospital in Manila.

Initial investigation revealed that the incident occurred at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday while Santos was onboard his pedicab and was transporting a passenger. While traversing Los Martires Street in Barangay San Jose, two men on board a scooter-type motorcycle approached Santos from behind.

One of the motorcycle riders pulled out a .45 caliber handgun and shot Santos twice at his back and immediately fled the scene.
