A MAN accused of murder was killed while his wife was wounded when unidentified suspects shot them 7:20 p.m. Monday at the terrace of their house in Zamboanga del Sur.

The fatality was identified as Akmad Kabulan alias Popoy, 43. Rushed to the Pagadian Medical Center was Danial Pagayao, alias Tata, 34, and resident of Purok Greenfields, Bgy. Old Labangan.

Reports reaching Camp Crame showed the incident occurred 7:20 p.m. at the terrace of the victims’ house.

Initial investigation revealed that the victims were having “sambayang” when the suspects arrived and shot them.

Recovered from the crime scene were 12 fired cartridges for 5.56 mm rifle.

It was learned that Popoy is facing separate murder and arson cases before the provincial prosecutors’ office.
