A MUNICIPAL engineer was wounded when he was stabbed while attending a birthday party of his friend the other day in Siniloan, Laguna.

Laguna provincial director Senior Supt. Pascual Muñoz Jr. identified the victim as Ronilo Flores Mendiola, 50, Siniloan municipal engineer.

The victim sustained stabbed wounds in the body and was rushed to General Cailles Hospital in Pakil, Laguna.

Responding policemen arrested the suspect, identified as Melvin dela Cruz Castillo, 39, married, of Bgy. Makatad, Siniloan.

The incident occurred at around  5 p.m. in Bgy.  General Luna, Wawa.

The victim was  attending a birthday party of his friend, identified as Arnold Sison, when the suspect arrived and for unknown reasons stabbed the victim twice in the body.
