KILLED

A MAN was shot dead while walking home in barangay Bangkal, Lapu-Lapu City on Friday night.

Orak Daligdig, 31, died on the spot with two gunshot wounds in the abdomen.

Police said Daligdig was walking along a road around 10 p.m. when two men on board a motorcycle arrived.

Thetwo men asked Daligdig the road to sitio Pooc but before the victim could answer, the backrider pulled out a gun and shot him.

The assailants fled after the incident.

Investigation will be conducted to identify the assailants and the motive behind the killing, said police./CORRESPONDENT JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS

MAN KILLS BROD

A 26-YEAR-OLD man hacked dead his older brother who earlier attacked him inside their house in barangay Butong, Argao town, southern Cebu on Friday night.

Erwin Sambilad Betonta surrendered to the police shortly after he allegedly killed his 44-year-old brother Rocerel, said police.

Police said Erwin was standing in the main door of their house when a drunk Rocerel arrived and hit him twice with a shotgun.

Erwin ran to the kitchen, took a bolo and hid behind okra plants at the back of the house.

Rocerel, who was looking for his older brother, passed in front of the okra plants when he was attacked by Erwin.

Rocerel was rushed to the house of Dr. Stanley Caminero in barangay Linut-od but he didn’t reach there alive.

Erwin told police that his older brother would attack him whenever he got drunk./CORRESPONDENT GABRIEL C. BONJOC

TRIKE DRIVER SHOT DEAD

A TRISIKAD driver was shot dead by an unidentified gunman in barangay Sto. NiƱo, Cebu City.

The victim, identified only as Cholo, was waiting for a passenger at the entrance of the South Road Properties (SRP) when a man shot him in the head.

Cholo brought Raffy Dalig, a Cebu City Hall employee, to the area. He was waiting for his passenger to return when he was attacked.
