A 61-YEAR-OLD mechanic was gunned down by two assailants in front of his house in Purok 5, Bgy. Bolbok, Lipa City, recently.            Supt. Jacinto R. Malinao Jr., COP, identified the victim as Nelson Yago, married, mechanic and resident of said place.

The shooting happened at  around 1:20 p.m. the other day. 

At around 1:15 p.m., the victim  was cleaning his car in front of their rented house in Hilltop Subd., Purok 5. 

Suddenly, the two suspects on board a black and red motorcycle with no plate number appeared and shot Yago several times. 

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the head and different parts of the body. He was brougth to the  Mary Mediatrix Medical Center but was pronounced dead on arrival by Dr. Christopher Velasco.

The suspects fled after the shooting.

Recovered from the crime scene were seven fired cartridges of caliber .45.  Jojo C. Magsombol
