MANILA, Philippines – The mayor of Victoria town in Northern Samar and his son were wounded after being shot by unidentified gunmen Thursday night.

Police said the mayor, Jose Ardales, and his son George were shot outside their home in Poblacion Uno.

They were rushed to the Catarman Hospital.

Police have yet to determine the motive behind the attack.
