POLICE are eyeing love-triangle in the gruesome death of a male lover and the wounding of his woman on Sunday evening in Mabulay, Barangay 27, Cagayan de Oro City.

The victim Richard Pairat sustained 16 stab wounds in the different parts of his body. He was declared dead on arrival in a nearby hospital.

Pairat’s partner, identified as Sarah Roaya, suffered two stab wounds in the body and some cuts in the hands. She is still under observation by attending physicians.

Police investigation showed that Roaya and Pairat were already asleep when the suspect identified as a certain Tito Tan, alias Lolong, who is said to be the woman’s former lover, entered in their room and attacked the victims.

Roaya reportedly tried to prevent Tan from further inflicting harm on Pairat, thus causing cuts on her part.

Authorities believed that Tan had no intention of killing Roaya, as he left right away after the incident.

Reports have it that Roaya had been warned earlier by friends not to accommodate Pairat in her place since he was already a married man.
