THE bullet-ridden body of a man was found in a quarry site in barangay Tawason, Mandaue City on Friday night.

The fatality was identified as Erwin Bernard Makasaet, 24.

It was the man’s girlfriend who identified the body yesterday at the police station in barangay Canduman.

Police said gunshots were heard at 8:30 p.m. in a quarry site in sitio Hilltop.

The man’s body was found an hour later.

Two empty shells were recovered at the crime scene.

Based on the gunshot wounds, the man was shot at close range, said SPO1 Kerwin Tejer of the homicide section of the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO).
