CASH and valuables amounting to P250,000 were stolen when a house and five apartments rooms were burgled in Mandaue City.
Police said unidentified thieves broke into the house owned by Rica de Jesus in Gentle Breeze Subdivision in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue.
De Jesus discovered that her house was burgled around 7 a.m, Monday.
Stolen were three units of Iphone worth P73,000; P12,000 cash; three pieces of jewelry items worth P71,000 and gift certificates worth P12,000.
Police said the thieves entered the house through a window on the second floor which was left unlocked.
Police will be viewing the subdivision’s security cameras.
In barangay Paknaan, valuables worth P44,600 were stolen from a two-story apartment.
Lotchie Banquisio, one of the tenants discovered that her room was burgled at 9:30 a.m. yesterday.
PO1 Demetrio Abella, investigator of the Basak police station, said it was later discovered that four other rooms were ransacked.
