A man stabbed his wife after rousing her from sleep in the middle of the night to cook rice for him.

Suspect Kenneth Baldicantos went home to Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City from a drinking session and woke up his wife, who acceded to his request then went back to sleep.

However, Baldicantos blew his top and stabbed her in the side of the stomach. She was rushed to a hospital by her mother.

Baldicantos said he merely wanted to threaten her and did not mean to actually stab her.
