34-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed repeatedly by his neighbor after they argued over a P140 debt in barangay Suba, Cebu City yesterday morning.
Josephus Tanag Bullicer, 34, sustained stab wounds in the face, right leg, abdomen and back.
The suspect, Antonio Bacalla Zafra, was arrested by Magdaleno Ortega Caburnay, security guard of the Pasil Fish Market where the incident happened.
Police investigation revealed that a month ago, Zafra gave Bullicer P140 cash to buy shabu.
Police said that while Bullicer accepted the money, he failed to buy the shabu.
Since then, Zafra had been hunting his Bullicer.
At past 5 a.m. yesterday, Zafra chanced upon the victim at the market. There, the suspect asked the victim to return his money.
Bullicer told the suspect that he didn’t have money which triggered an argument.
Police said Zafra took a pair of scissors and started stabbing his neighbor.
Bullicer ran but was chased and stabbed again by the suspect, police said.
Police said the suspect will be charged for attempted homicide.
