MANILA, Philippines – A man who was just trying to stop an altercation was shot to death by his neighbor in Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City on Saturday evening.

Initial reports said barangay tanod Romy Sinanggote was having a drinking session with his friend Rolly Daclan when the two had a heated argument.

One of their neighbors Potenciano Delicario then stepped in and tried to pacify the situation.

Delicario, however, was accidentally shot by Daclan.

Daclan immediately escaped after the incident and the police have yet to find him.

Delicario’s wife, meanwhile, refused to grant any media interviews following the death of her husband. – from a report by Bettina Magsaysay, ABS-CBN News
