A 24-YEAR-OLD man was killed by a still unknown suspect who shot him thrice in the head at close range yesterday morning in Tondo, Manila.                                               

Pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital was Antonio Diaz,  alias `Nonoy’, of Blk.8-B lot 11 Model Community Tondo, while the suspect, who fled with the .45 cal. firearm he used in the shooting, remains unidentified.                                             

Det. Jonatahan Bautista of the Manila Police District-Crime Against Persons Investigation Section said the incident took place at 10:05 a.m. in front of a house located at No.15 Magsaysay corner Calamansi Streets in Moriones, Tondo.                           

Investigation showed that the victim was chatting with his friend Mark Jun, 17, when the gunman appeared from nowhere and then shot the victim in the head repeatedly at close range.   He then fled the scene.
