A man who was in a drinking session was shot dead in Vitas, Tondo on Sunday evening.

The victim, identified as Virgilio Ramirez, was shot in the head at close range by suspect Ricardo Valencia.

Police said Valencia killed Ramirez to avenge the death of his friend in 2004.

Valencia was caught and mauled by angry bystanders.
