MANILA, Philippines – A man was shot dead while allegedly trying to mediate in a fight in Caloocan City before dawn on Monday.

The victim, 20-year-old Kenichi Iwase, was fatally shot in Barangay 14 at around 3 a.m. He was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the shooting.
