A man died after being beaten up and shot from close range by two of his drinking buddies in Antipolo City last Monday.

Antipolo City police chief, Supt. Manuel Pion, said Wendy Cordero, 31,  married of Sitio Baybay Sapa, Bgy. Mayamot, died from  gunshot wound in the head and chest.

The suspects were identified by witnesses, Bobby Quiza, 50, and a certain alias “Boy Tatoo, neighbors of the victim.

Investigation conducted by PO3 Carlo Tamondong and PO2 Wilson Sumait,  officers on case, the incident happened at about 6:15 p.m., in Sitio Baybay Sapa,  where the victim and the two suspects were having a drinking session.

“Ang iingay nga nila at nagbibiruan pa pagkatapos makaubos ng maraming  bote ng alak ay narinig na lamang namin na nagsisigawan at nagtatalo na  sila, maya-maya ay pinagtulungang bugbugin ang biktima ng dalawa at lugmok na  sa lupa ay binaril pa ito na malapitan sa ulo at dibdib,” a witness identified  only as Zenaida told the probers.

Further investigation revealed the victim and one of the suspects had

an old grudge that might be the alleged motive of the killings.
