Man shot at dance contest

CEBU, Philippines – A 23-year-old man died after an unidentified assailant shot him while he was watching a dance contest in sitio Kamagayan, Barangay Perelos, Carcar City the other night.

Junnel Camoro Agbo, 23, single, a resident of Barangay Valladolid, Carcar City was pronounced dead on arrival at the Carcar District Hospital. He sustained a gunshot wound on his chin, which exited at the back of his neck.

Initial investigation by the Carcar City police revealed that the suspect used a .9mm pistol in shooting Agbo. Three empty shells and a slug of a .9mm pistol were also found at the crime scene.

Witnesses said the suspect casually walked away from the area after shooting the victim, but none at the area reportedly recognized him.

Local authorities in Carcar reportedly received reports that several persons bore a grudge against the victim, but the information is still subject to verification.    (FREEMAN NEWS)
