Man shot in arm, dies in hospital

A man died after being shot in his left arm at his home in Quezon City before dawn Sunday.

Police investigators identified the victim as Aneceto Magbanau, 35, who works as a security guard.
Magbanau sustained a lone gunshot wound in his left arm and was declared dead on arrival at the Fairview General Hospital due to severe blood loss.

Magbanau was shot at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday at his home located at Unit 7, Upper NAWASA, Barangay Commonwealth.

However, investigators remain clueless as to the identity of the gunman and the motive behind the shooting.

Prior the shooting incident, Magbanau was drinking liquor with friends at the house of Dennis Tajanlangit Saturday night.

Tajanlangit noted that while they were last together there were no drunken disputes took place and their drinking went peacefully.

The drinking session ended at past 1 a.m. Sunday and Magbanau along with his other friends started going home.

At the door of his house, the victim was suddenly shot at his arm by an unidentified gunman who approached him from behind.
