A 27-YEAR-OLD man was fatally stabbed by his neighbor in barangay Alang-Alang, Mandaue City.

Police identified the fatality as Joseph Timagos, 27, who sustained a stab wound in the right armpit.

The suspect, Gabriel Sy, 18, fled after the attack, PO3 Manuel Baay, investigator of the Centro police, said.

Police said a drunk Sy was causing trouble in the neighborhood at dawn yesterday when Timagos tried to pacify him.

Sy, however, confronted Timagos and stabbed him with a four-inch knife, police said.

The victim was rushed to the Mandaue City Hospital where he was declared dead by the attending doctor./REPORTER JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
