ABS-CBNnews.comPosted at 05/22/2013 6:19 PM | Updated as of 05/22/2013 6:19 PMMANILA — A suspected robber was killed in an encounter with police authorities in Ermita, Manila Wednesday afternoon.SPO1 Jay Santos of the Manila Police District homicide section said cops saw the slain suspect, along with another cohort, robbing an Indian couple along Sylvia Street.Upon confrontation, the motorcycle-riding suspects suddenly fired shots at the responding policemen, resulting in a shootout.One of the suspects was killed while his cohort escaped on foot, leaving their plateless motorcycle behind.The fatality, who was wearing black sando, shorts and black jacket, has yet to be identified.
