A jovial drinking spree ended in a bloody affair when a man was brutally killed by his seven drinking pals in Barangay Tolosa at dawn last Tuesday.

 

Five of the seven suspects were arrested during a follow-up operation and were detained pending the filing of charges against them in court.

Police identified the victim as Eugenio Paulino y Manalo, 45, married of Barangay Cacao.

Those arrested were Vicente Bucoy y Dela Cruz, 49, married, Edgar Bucoy y Bernardo, 19, single, Marvin Santos y Falcasantos, 17, single, Edwin Santos y Falcasantos, 34, married and Bobong Bucoy, all residents of Pagulayan, Tolosa.

The two at large suspects are zonald Napolereyes, 33, of Lapakan and Serafin Snatos y Delos Reyes of Tolosa.

A police report disclosed that Paulino and the seven men were having a drinking spree at the house of Edwin Santos.

Amid their drinking session, they engaged in a heated argument due to drunkenness.

Police said the seven men aided each other in beating Paulino.

Not contended, Marvin Santos took a bolo and was induced by his uncle Vicente Bucoy to slash the throat of Paulino killing him.

Paulino’s body was brought to the Villa Funeral Parlor for post mortem examination.

Police were still hunting down the two at large suspects.
