AN UNIDENTIFIED man was killed while a waiter and a woman were injured in separate shooting incidents in Cebu City over the weekend.

The fatality was found slumped on the ground with a gunshot wound in the body.

Police said the victim, who was wearing a gray T-shirt and a denim short pants, were standing on C. Padilla Street in barangay Sawang Calero when two men shot him around 11:50 p.m on Saturday.

The man was rushed to the Cebu City Medical Center where he died several hours later.

In barangay Kalunasan, 22-year-old waiter Aljie Garcia was heading to a bakeshop along with his sister and a friend when he was shot by one of four men who were having a drinking session by the road.

Police said Garcia confronted one of the men when they made fun of his sister.

Garcia was shot while arguing with the men.

The assailants fled after the shooting while Garcia was rushed to the CCMC.

In barangay Tejero, Mia Cabonita, 37, was shot while walking along a road around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Cabonita was rushed to the CCMC with gunshot wounds in the thighs.

The suspect was identified only as Bangkay.

The woman told investigators that the suspect harbored grudges against her on suspicion that her former boyfriend reported to the police of the assailant’s alleged involvement in illegal drug activities.

The suspect remains at large.
