A fisherman hacked his drinking buddy at dawn yesterday in Dalaguete town, southeast Cebu.

Elino Quilaton, 25, sustained wounds in his head, leg, hands and other parts of his body after his neighbor and fellow fisherman Mark Joseph Carin, 23, allegedly hacked him.

They were drinking in sitio Dungo-an, barangay Kawayan before the violence, said SPO2 Cleto Pia, Dalaguete police station investigator.

Carin got mad when Quilaton grabbed his collar as they argued, according to the police.

Carin grabbed his bolo and hacked Quilaton several times.

Carin surrendered to their barangay captain and was turned over to the responding police officers.
