CHARGES have been filed before the City Prosecution Office against a 32-year-old man for theft and intimidation.
Police Officer 3 (PO3) Harold Delima, of Talomo police, identified the suspect as Romeo Quinones of Pag-ibig Village in Dumoy, Talomo District, Davao City.
Quinones was charged with robbery with violence or intimidation of person and illegal detention. He was brought before Prosecutor Gaye T. Canete-Magdagasang at 2:35 p.m. on Wednesday for inquest proceedings.
Records from Talomo police showed that while the victim, Jeremy Merona Jumao-as, 21, also of Dumoy, went to the restroom at the back of his house, the suspect appeared from behind and poked him with a handgun at 6 a.m.
The suspect tied the victim’s hand and feet then covered his mouth with cloth before he took the victim’s wallet containing P500.
The suspect immediately left and fled to unknown direction, but he was arrested around 7 a.m. when a concerned citizen noticed him after the incident.
The suspect was endorsed to Talomo police for proper disposition.
