POLICE filed on Saturday charges before the Davao City Prosecutor’s Office (CPO) against a man for killing a farmer.

Charged with murder was one Roger Raquiz Putis, alias Kadel, of Panasilan Farm in Suawan, Marilog District, Davao City.

A source, who refused to be named for lack of authority to speak, said the suspect was charged before the CPO around 9 a.m. Saturday in a regular filing procedure since the suspect is still at large.

The victim, identified as Jomer Mandahay Samza, 37, farmer, of Purok 1, Sitio Pagan Pequeño in Barangay Suawan, succumbed to a lone gunshot wound on the upper left side at the back of his body.

Record from the Marilog Police Station showed that Samza was gunned down at Sitio Pagan Pequeño in Barangay Suawan around 9:30 p.m. of March 31 while he was on his way home.

Putis fled while the cadaver of the victim was brought to Angel Funeral Parlor.

Police said they have already launched a manhunt operation against the suspect so as to figure out the motive of the crime. (ICT)
