FOR blocking with his own body bullets that were intended for his loved ones, a 28-year-old man was killed by riding-in-tandem suspects yesterday morning in Tondo, Manila.
Dead with five bullet wounds in the body was Manny Deuda, of 178 Pinoy St., Balut, Tondo. The suspects who fled aboard a plateless motorcycle after the incident remain unidentified.
Investigation made by SPO3 Glenzor Vallejo of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section showed the incident took place at 2:40 a.m. in front of a store located at the corner of Pinoy and Nava Streets in Balut, Tondo.
The victim’s relative, Jennifer Darry, 17, told the police Deuda was chatting with some relatives when the suspects arrived and fired successive shots at the direction of the said relatives.
The victim blocked the shots with his body and no one among his relatives was hit. He sustained five gunshot wounds as a result.
