FOR allegedly stealing her employer’s Rolex watches worth about P1 million, a 29-year-old stay-in housemaid was arrested and is now detained at the Manila Police District-theft and robbery section.

Lea Calixto was nabbed on the complaint of her boss Milton Lim, 46, a businessman, of 1916-1918 C.M. Recto Avenue, Sta. Cruz, Manila.

Calixto was pointed to by another  housemaid, Remedios Vergara, 40, as the one who took two watches belonging to the victim at around 1 p.m. of November 20, while she was left all alone in the house.

Vergara claimed that Calixto was the last person seen to have entered the victim’s room  before the loss was discovered.

The suspect was also said to have disappeared along with the watches and was only arrested in Cubao, Quezon City after the employer received information on her whereabouts.

Meanwhile, a policeman was found immobile and apparently a heart attack victim, right inside the Manila Police District (MPD) headquarters on UN Avenue in Manila.

PO3 Jose Latoza, 53, was said to have reported for work yesterday morning to take over the post of his colleague PO3 Rodolfo Tejada when he found the latter lying on the floor.
