A policeman was shot to death just a few steps from his house in Barangay Salimbao in Sultan Kudarat town in Maguindanao province Sunday night.

The fatality was identified as PO3 Oscar Ronquillo of the Cotabato City Police Station 2, according to a Monday report on Radyo Mo Nationwide.

Initial investigation showed the victim’s relatives were startled when they heard shots outside the house.

They rushed the policeman to the hospital but it was too late for doctors to save him.

Ronquillo sustained gunshot wounds from .45 cal. and 9-mm weapons, the report said. — DVM, GMA News
