A lover’s quarrel with his 16-year-old live-in partner allegedly drove a man to hang himself todeath in Malabon City yesterday morning.

Police said his relatives brought James Bryan Soledad, 18, of 112 Dulong Herrera St., Bgy. Ibaba, Malabon City to the Pagamutang Bayan ng Malabon but efforts to revive him proved futile.

A report said Eloisa Soledad, 44, found her son hanging on the beam of their ceiling at 7:30 a.m. with a nylon cord looped around his neck.

Prior to the incident, Soledad and his live-in partner, Elaine Abrasaldo,  were heard quarreling inside their room.

At the height of their shouting match, the woman left to avoid further trouble. Soledad felt bad and thought that Abrasalado would abandon him for good, prompting him to commit suicide.
