JEALOUSY reportedly drove a 30-year-old lesbian to take hostage her alleged live-in partner and her two children after stabbing the husband of the victim Thursday morning in Pateros.
Pateros police Intelligence Unit head Chief Insp. Boy Navia said Delia Enriquez, of 44-G Sitio Pagkakaisa St., Bgy. Sta. Ana, used a knife to prevent Jenelyn Rinego Dacuma and her two sons, aged 3 and 2, from leaving her inside the couple’s abode at 54-C Sitio Pagkakaisa at 8:30 a.m.
The incident, according to police, lasted for only 45 minutes after negotiators from the Pateros police were able to convince Enriquez to release her hostages and surrender peacefully. Rodolfo Dacuma, 32, husband of Jenelyn, was rushed to Rizal Medical Center for treatment of stab wounds in the body.
According to Chief Insp. Navia, Jenelyn was having an affair with Enriquez for more than a year now while Rodolfo, her husband, was working in Saudi Arabia.
“Dumating noong araw ng Pasko si Rodolfo kaya’t muling nabuo ang pamilya nila na labis na ipinagselos ni Enriquez lalo na nang mapuna niya na hindi na siya pinapansin ni Jenelyn,” police said.
Enriquez decided to confront Jenelyn to ask her about their relationship and while they were arguing, Rodolfo intervened, prompting the suspect to stabbed him repeatedly in the body.
Police will file frustrated murder, alarm and scandal and illegal possession of deadly weapon charges against Enriquez.
