ABUCAY, Bataan – Police probers are eyeing land grabbing as the motive behind the killing of a 45-year-old man and his 16-year-old nephew whose bodies were found dumped in the remote part of Hulong Dumpit, Upper Capitangan, this town.

Inspector Janice Piga, police spokesperson, identified the victims as Zosimo Atienza and his nephew Reymart Villegas, 16, both residents of Barangay Doña, Orani town. The sustained gunshot wounds in their heads. Police said the discovery of the victims’ cadavers was relayed to them at about 8:45 a.m. last Wednesday. Investigators recovered from the crime scene eight empty shells of an Armalite rifle.

Police learned from the victims’ neighbors that the Atienza had engaged unidentified land grabbers in altercation on several occasions when they attempted to enter his farm in Upper Capitangan, Abucay.
