Lady trader loses P230T, hurt in high noon robbery

ILIGAN CITY — A 52 year-old lady trader lost P230 thousand and suffered gunshot wound on her back after three motorcycle-riding gunmen staged a daring robbery/hold-up in broad daylight here last Friday, July 2, a belated police report reaching this paper said.

Police investigator, PO3 Navales Ma, in his written report to the city police director here identified the victim as a certain Fatima Pangandaman Y. Saliling, 52 years old, married, a businesswoman and resident of Malabang, Lanao del Sur.

In the said report, PO3 Navales Ma said the robbery occurred at around 12:20 high noon last Friday, July 2 at the corner of Luch and Zamora streets here, adding that Pangandaman and her husband and a lady business partner identified as a certain Noraida Totodan Y Abubakar were allegedly standing in the said street corner when three motorcycle-riding gunmen, two allegedly armed with caliber .45 pistols suddenly stopped nearby and grabbed the victim’s handbag allegedly containing P230 thousand in cash and personal belongings.

When the victim refused to give her hand bag, one of the gunmen shot her with his hand gun hitting her in the back of her body and left buttocks, the report said.

The gunmen fled on board a black XRM motorcycle towards VillaVerde here, adding one the suspect was wounded probably by a stray bullet fired by his own companion, the report noted.

Pangandaman was rushed to the Sanitarium and Hospital for medical treatment, the report said.

Police investigators recovered three caliber ,45 empty shells at the crime scene, the report concluded.
